Marion's Best Billy-Beans

  • 1 can fresh green beans, drained
  • 1 can white whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can tiny green peas, drained
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 small jar pimiento, drained and chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • salt and pepper to taste


Put vegetables in large bowl. Heat vinegar, sugar, oil, celery seed, salt and pepper on stove until sugar dissolves. Pour over vegetables and mix. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

This is a perfect side-dish for ham.
