- 3 lbs chicken, cut up
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups water
- 2 bay leaves
- Thyme & Cayenne to taste
- 4 sprigs parsley

Dumplings:
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
|
Place 1st 9 ingredients in large pot and bring to boil. Cover and cook 35 minutes, over medium heat. Skim fat off of the top.
In a good sized bowl, combine the dumpling ingredients and mix well. Using a teaspoon, spoon out the dough and lower gently into broth. Cover and cook 5 minutes; flip dumplings over - cover and cook another 5 minutes.
Sprinkle parsley over top of each serving. M-m-m-m
